E-Mail - Sending & Receiving mail remotely

Getting Email When Away From Home.
If you are having trouble sending email while you are away from home, here are some steps on popular mail clients that you can do that should correct the problem
1) Turn on Authentication
Office 365
a) Open the Control Panel
b) Search ‘Mail’ and select the one with (Outlook) beside it
c) Select ‘Email Accounts’
d) Select ‘Change’
e) Select ‘More Settings’
f) Select ‘Advanced’
g) Change the outgoing server port to 555
h) Press OK then NEXT then FINISH
Thunderbird
a) Right click on your account in the left panel
b) Select ‘Settings’
c) Select ‘Outgoing Server (SMTP)’ near the bottom
d) Click on your account
e) Select ‘Edit’
f) Make sure ‘Authentication Method’ says ‘Normal Password’
g) Make sure your username (part before the @ in your email) is filled in
h) Select OK and OK again
Windows Live Mail
a) Right-click on Hurontel.on on the left side of the screen and select “Properties”
b) Click on the “Servers” tab at the top of the screen and check the box that says “My Server Requires Authentication”
c) Click on “OK”
Outlook Express
a) Click on “Tools” at the top of the screen then “Accounts”
b) Double click on your HuronTel account
c) Click on the “Servers” tab at the top of the screen and check the box that says “My Server Requires Authentication”
d) Click on “OK”
Microsoft Outlook
a) Click on “File” then click on “Account Settings”
b) Make sure your HuronTel account is selected and click on “Change”
c) Click on the “More Settings” then click on the “Outgoing Server” tab at the top
d) Click on “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”
e) Click on OK
2) Change the outgoing port to 555
Windows Live Mail
a) Right-click on Hurontel.on on the left side of the screen and select “Properties”
b) Click on the “Advanced” tab at the top.
c) You should see a line that says “Outgoing mail (SMTP)” with the number 25 in the box. Clear that box and type in “555”
d) Click “OK”
Outlook Express
a) Click on “Tools” at the top of the screen then “Accounts”
b) Double click on your HuronTel account
c) Click on the “Advanced” tab at the top.
d) You should see a line that says “Outgoing mail (SMTP)” with the number 25 in the box. Clear that box and type in “555”
e) Click “OK”
