Enhanced Email (IMAP) Setup for LG X Power 3 Phone (Android Version 8.1.0)
Step 1: Tap Settings on the Home Screen
Step 2: Tap the “General” tab along the top of the screen
Step 3: Tap on “Accounts”
Step 4: Tap on “Add Account”
Step 5: Tap on “Email”
Step 6: Tap on “Other”
Step 7: Type in you HuronTel Email Address and password then Tap on Manual Setup
Step 8: Select “IMAP” and then tap on “Next”
Step 9: Enter in the server name for IMAP Server and Select “SSL (Accept all certificates)”
Confirm that the Port Number is 995, the username is the first part of your email (i.e. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. username should be example)
Side Note: “Delete From Server” removes message from the Hurontel Server and not from the Device itself, you can only set it to two options: 1.) Never or 2.) When I delete from trash box
Tap on Next to proceed to the next step.
Step 10: Enter in the server name for SMTP Server and Select “TLS (Accept all certificates)”
Confirm that the Port Number is 587, Confirm that Sign-in required is ON, the username is the first part of your email (i.e. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. username should be example)
Tap on Next to proceed to the next step.
Step 11: Tap on Next to proceed to the next step
Step 12: Enter in an account name, this helps identity the account if you need to make changes to it settings in the future and then Tap on “Done”
Step 13: When you hit done it should automatically take you to the email client. If it doesn’t look for an App folder called Essentials and the Email Client should be in there.
