The 70 Mhz is DC passing,so it can be used for downconvertor systems.
If your reciever has a Baseband out and 70 Mhz IF, it is recommended you use the Baseband over the 70 Mhz.

Connecting your Satellite reciever to the VC2100E

  1. Connect the Reciever Audio out ,to the Audio in jacks on the VC2100e.Switch the audio switch to mono input,if your reciever is mono output.
  2. Connect Clamped Video out ,to the Clamped Video in on the VC2100e.

    If your reciever has Baseband out

  3. Connect Baseband out (sometimes marked Composite), to the composite in on the VC2100e.
  4. Connect Clamped Video out ,to the Clamped Video in on the VC2100e.
  5. Switch the input selector to composite.

If your reciever has a 70 Mhz IF loop:

3.Connect the receiver IF out to the VC2100e 70 Mhz in
4.Connect the receiver IF in to the VC2100e 70 Mhz out

If your reciever has a 70 Mhz Downconvertor:


3.Connect the 70Mhz from the downconvertor to the VC2100e 70 Mhz in
4.Connect the receiver 70 Mhz in to the VC2100e 70 Mhz out

For all 70 Mhz options:

1.Set input select switch for 70 Mhz in.
2:Set video invert switch for normal for 70 Mhz downconvertor systems, and inverted for 70 Mhz loop systems.

Connecting the VC2100E to your entertainment system

Connecting using RF connections.

  1. Connect TV out to the Ant. in on your TV or VCR,or A/V reciever
  2. Connect Ant in to an RF source you may wish to view when you are not watching satellite programs (optional if you watch nothing but satellite).

Connecting using A/V connections.

  1. Connect the VC2100E audio out to the audio in on your TV or VCR,or A/V reciever
  2. Connect the VC2100E video out to the video in on your TV or VCR,or A/V reciever

Adjustments

All I can say is to adjust the video input adjustments for the best picture, and adjust the audio level for an even level between VC-II channels,and ITC channels.
