BORAGE

It's easy to mistake Borage in the spring for a weed, the best way to tell it apart from baby burdoch or comfrey, is by it's rather hairy appearance and deep veins. Borage leaves are also more rounded than comfrey, and quickly grows to a height of over 2 feet with these dainty 5-6 pointed perriwinkle blue flowers that brighten up a salad. The leaves can be used in salads too, but I find them a little too prickly for my taste.
