-Completion of Applications
As an authorized HuronTel dealer, you are required to complete all the necessary areas on the HuronTel Internet Application prior to faxing it to us. To earn your commission, each Internet Application must be FULLY completed, without any key information missing. If the Application is incomplete or critical information is omitted, we have to refax the application back to you and have the customer complete the application. This creates an inconvenience for both the customer, HuronTel, and you, the dealer.

In order to eliminate errors stemming from incomplete applications, the following areas MUST be provided or the application will be deemed incomplete:
  • Name
  • Box # (If Applicable)
  • Street Name/Number (We MUST have complete 911 information)
  • City
  • Postal Code
  • Contact
  • Home/Subscribed Phone Number
  • Work Phone Number (If Applicable)
  • Fax Number (If Applicable)
  • Payment Option (For Basic, High Speed or Wireless Internet, a credit card number with a valid expiry date must be provided. This is for reference only in the event that the equipment provided is not returned. Customer is to INITIAL beside the type of payment option)
  • Service Plan (Please have the customer INITIAL their choice of Internet Service Plan)

-HuronTel Setup Discs
HuronTel's Internet Setup discs include the latest version of our "PC Protection " software. In order to activate this service, a customer must subscribe online by entering their username, password and requesting a set number of licenses (a license is valid for a single computer-additional computers require additional licenses). An email is then sent to the customer's primary HuronTel mailbox with a key that activates the software. If the customer is unable to obtain a setup disc, they can download the software online by visiting the PC Protection Setup Page. NOTE: PC Protection requires that a user's system meet certain requirements in order to run. Please refer to these on the PC Protection page and inform the customer of these requirements whenever possible.

-PPPoE Connections
All HuronTel High Speed Internet customers use Windows 98 must have the Enternet 300 client installed on their computer. This software is located on our HuronTel Setup discs. High Speed users who connect with Windows XP can use the "New Connection Wizard" that is integrated into Windows XP. Full setup instructions are located in our Internet Setup Instructions section. Please refer to these and provide them as needed. Also, a reminder that the most current versions of our applications are always available on the web for print. Thank you!
